The Union Courier

 

      Effective with this issue of our Branch publication, it has officially been renamed as the Branch 2184 Union Courier, following approval by our Branch executive board. The previous name of “Branch 2184 Speaks” had existed for at least 50 to 60 years. It was felt that an updated and more Letter Carrier and Union-specific name would be more appropriate in this, the year of Branch 2184’s centennial observance.

      A “courier” is by definition a messenger that delivers information or news, just as Postal Service Letter Carriers and their predecessors have been doing for almost 250 years of United States history. The Branch 2184 Union Courier will continue to provide our members with up-to-date information about everything related to their contractual rights and benefits as NALC members, as well as Branch 2184 activities and other Union-related matters.
