Nominations for Branch 2184 officers, stewards and convention delegates were held at the October 7, 2026, Branch meeting. The deadline to return written acceptance and qualification forms was October 17. The accepted nominees are listed below. Where the number of accepted nominees did not exceed the number of available positions, those nominees were elected by acclamation, and those elections have been closed.

 

      A secret mail ballot election will be conducted for Sergeant at Arms and three Trustee positions. No steward or convention delegate election were required.

Contested positions (nominees in no particular order)

Sergeant at Arms — one position: Nominees Shawn Fowlkes and Paula Hall.

Trustees — three positions: Nominees Jerry Cerpa, Aaron Toth, Bryon Hendricks, Joe Golonka, Jim Hales and Dave Reise. Members may vote for no more than three Trustee candidates.

 

Mail ballot election schedule

 

      The proposed ballot return deadline is Monday, November 30, 2026, the latest date permitted by the Branch 2184 bylaws. Under that schedule, ballot packages will be mailed to eligible members at their last known home addresses no later than November 10. The candidate list will also be posted at all units by November 16. The final election notice and ballot instructions will identify the return deadline and the Election Committee’s return address.

 

      Members should follow the ballot instructions carefully and return their ballots promptly. Ballots must be received by the announced deadline to be counted. Branch 2184 bylaws require at least two Election Committee members to collect the ballots after 3:00 p.m. on the day they are due and bring them to the union office for tabulation. Candidates are entitled to observers during ballot preparation and during the count. Official results will be posted at all stations after counting is completed.
